Dest-ination Arts! runs July 19-21 in Waynesboro, Pa.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- —  Dest-ination Arts! is an arts festival opening Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, in downtown Waynesboro.

Vacant buildings have been converted into art galleries, and an additional eight to 10 storefront displays will also exhibit art. Music and other performing arts, children’s activities, art demonstrations and other special events are planned for each day. 

All activities are open to the public and free unless noted. Opening weekend concerts include:

Friday, July 19

• The Ken Jankura Quartet will play jazz. 5 to 8 p.m. Waynesboro Square or if it rains at 22 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Pa.

• Rebecca Reed, vocals, and Justin Streletz, piano, will play Broadway tunes and standards. 5 to 8 p.m. 2 E. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Eric Wengert, ukulele, will play a variety of music. 5 to 8 p.m. 50 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Tommy Lancaster will play folk and blues music. 6 to 9 p.m. Christine’s Cafe, 81 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Old Tyme Jam, bluegrass jam. 7 to 10 p.m. Beck and Benedict Hardware Music Theatre, 118 Walnut St., Waynesboro, Pa. $4.

Saturday, July 20

• The Ken Jankura Trio will play jazz. 3 to 6 p.m. Waynesboro Square.

• Beth Malone, Gillian Malone and Kathy Katy Altfield will play show tunes. 2 to 5 p.m. 50 W. Main St.,Waynesboro.

• Unheard Of will play a music on ukelele and bass. 2 to 5 p.m. 2 E. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Lucky Punk will play rock. 6:30 p.m. Patio of Christine’s Cafe, 81 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Kody Norris and the Watauga Mountain Boys will play bluegrass music. 7:30 p.m. Beck and Benedict Hardware Music Theatre, 118 Walnut St., Waynesboro, Pa. $14. 

Sunday, July 21

• Mountain Air will play acoustic contemporary folk and pop country. 2 to 4 p.m. 50 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

• Missy Eckert, vocal and guitar soloist, will play variety. 2 to 4 p.m. 2 E. Main St., Waynesboro.
