This week’s movie at the Bridge of Life, 14 S. Potomac St. in downtown Hagerstown, is about the ancient war between humans and a race of giants, which is reignited when a young farmhand fights for a kingdom and the love of a princess.

The movie is at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20. There will be free popcorn and a drinks. To find out the name of this weekend’s movie, call the church at 301-791-1674.

Community health fair

Make plans to attend the 10th Annual Walnut Street Community Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3, at 24 N. Walnut St. 

Come out and receive free health screenings for breast cancer, diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, dental, and depression and anxiety.

In addition, there will be free food assistance for individuals and families in need, and more than 20 local social service agencies and organizations that will be present to answer questions.

The children’s activities will include face-painting, fire safety with the Safety House and firetruck, and other activities. 

The event is hosted by the Walnut Street Community Health Center, with support from Keller Stonebraker Insurance; The Columbia Bank, Hagerstown Trust Division; Gaye McGovern Insurance; and Walmart/Sam’s Club.
