Woman airlifted to hospital after car, farm tractor collide in Fulton County

July 17, 2013

NEEDMORE, Pa. — A Warfordsburg, Pa., woman was flown to a hospital after the car she was driving struck a farm tractor Tuesday evening on U.S. 522 in Fulton County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Erin Renee McCusker, 27, was flown to Altoona Regional Health System to be treated for major injuries, according to a state police news release.

A hospital spokeswoman said Wednesday morning that McCusker was not listed as a patient.

Troopers said McCusker was driving a 2002 Chrysler Sebring south on U.S. 522 at about 6:45 p.m. when her vehicle rear-ended an International 1066 farm tractor being driven by Lee James Golden, 39, of Needmore, Pa.

Police said the impact caused the tractor to flip over. Golden was thrown from the tractor and suffered moderate injuries when he jumped into a culvert, according to police.

Troopers said the accident occurred about two miles south of Needmore in Bethel Township.

McCusker was not wearing a seatbelt, the release said.
