  • Arts festival opens Seven vacant buildings will be converted into art galleries, and an additional eight to 10 storefront displays will also exhibit art. Music and other performing arts, childrens activities, art demonstrations and other special events are planned for several hours each day. All activities are open to the public. Washington County Ag Expo and Fair

An agricultural fair, carnival rides and midway, tractor pulls, music and more. Opens Saturday, July 20; continues through Saturday, July 27. Washington County Agricultural Education Center, 7303 Sharpsburg Pike, south of Hagerstown. $6, daily gate admission for ages 2 and older; $10, daily track gate admission, except Sunday, July 21; ages 8 and younger admitted free; $15, Sunday gate admission, includes all activities on fairgrounds.
