Jean Woodhead Beck, 83, of Hagerstown passed away Monday, July 15, 2013, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro.

Born June 6, 1930, in Dundalk, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Woodhead Sr. and Catherine (Faulkanhan) Woodhead.

Mrs. Beck was a mother and homemaker.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown, and volunteered her time with Hospice of Washington County. She also was a member of Fountain Head Country Club.

She is survived by one son, Gordon Keyes of Newburg, W.Va.; one daughter, Jeanne Beck Perkinson and husband, Jeff, of Missouri City, Texas; two stepsons, James Beck and wife, Rebecca, of McLean, Va., and John Beck of Hagerstown; one sister, Victoria Mushinski of Bradenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Zach, Erik and Joanna Beck, Gracie, Kaylee and Sydney Perkinson, and Cameron, Sarah and Brian Keyes; and four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Tristan, Kaiden and Stina Beck.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Keyes Sr., in 1968, and more recent husband, Robert E. Beck Sr., in 2011; one son, James Keyes Jr.; one stepson, Robert Beck Jr.; and one brother, James Woodhead.

A memorial service will be Friday, July 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Steven L. Johns-Boehme officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Friday one hour before the service at the church.
