Berkeley Co. road to close soon for bridge repairs

July 16, 2013

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Cherry Run Road is expected be closed in the coming days due to bridge repairs near the Morgan/Berkeley county line, the West Virginia Division of Highways said Monday.

This road closure will happen sometime this week and will be in place for at least a month, the state said in a news release.

The affected bridge is three miles north of W.Va. 9 and is less than a half mile east of the Morgan County community of Cherry Run.

Motorists who normally use this road as a shortcut between Hedgesville, W.Va., and Hancock should detour over Morgan County 5 to access Cherry Run before proceeding through Sleepy Creek to U.S. 522.
