Male spotted in tree line watching woman

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro police were dispatched to 937 Quail Run Drive at 12:18 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, for a report of a suspicion person, police said in a news release Tuesday.

The complainant reported a man or boy was standing in the tree line watching her, police said.

The subject was last seen running through the woods, police said.

Beating on doors reported in first block of West Main Street

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Someone might have been beating on doors in the first block of West Main Street Tuesday, July 2, Waynesboro police said in a news release.

Police said they were called to 51 W. Main St. for a report of a man or boy beating on doors in the area.

No one was found, police said.

Fireworks discharged near 200 block of Hawbaker Avenue

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A resident in the 200 block of Hawbaker Avenue reported someone was setting off fireworks nearby at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, Waynesboro police said in a news release.

The smoke was traveling inside her home, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate.

Waynesboro man faces charges in hit-and-run accident

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A Waynesboro man has been charged in connection to a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian at 5:35 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, Waynesboro police said in a news release.

Antonio Ramirez, of 403 W. Main St., was charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, driving without a license and three other counts, police said.

Male reports being followed, threatened with gun

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Someone reported to Waynesboro police on Wednesday, July 3, that he was being followed by several people in a vehicle and they threatened him with a gun, police said in a news release.

Police said they were dispatched to the area of Dickinson and Roadside avenues at 10:28 p.m.

Police said they checked the area and did not find anyone.

Two men face firearms charges after traffic stop

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — Borough police charged two men with a firearms offense following a traffic stop last weekend.

Christian Omar Nunez, no age provided, of Magna, Utah, and Carlos Arturo Mancha-Nunez, no age provided, of Erie, Pa., were charged with possession of a firearm without a license following a traffic stop behind 111 N. Main St. on July 13, police said in a news release.

Mercersburg police stopped a vehicle at 11:25 p.m. and discovered that Nunez and Mancha-Nunez were in possession of a loaded .45-caliber firearm.

Information sought on car reported as stolen

MERCERSBURG, Pa. — Police are looking for information on a car that was reported stolen in the borough last weekend.

Mercersburg police said a light blue 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass owned by a Mercersburg woman was stolen from a parking lot at 210 Brindle Drive.

The owner said she parked the car in the lot at 10:30 p.m. on July 13, and it was seen leaving the lot at 8:30 a.m. on July 14.
