Harry Edward Anthony, 73, of Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Shook Home in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Oct. 7, 1939, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of late Thomas W. Anthony Sr. and Clara E. Shank Anthony.

He retired in 1999 from Manitowoc Crane in Shady Grove, Pa., after 33 years of service.

Harry was a member of Park Road Bible Church in Hagerstown.

He volunteered as an elder and assisted with nursing home visitations.

Harry always put his family and church first.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roselyn “Rose” Anthony; two daughters, Carole Ann Gahan and husband, Jeff, of St. Thomas, Pa., and Brenda Sue Anthony of Hagerstown; two sisters, JoAnne Harshman and husband, Ronnie, of Hagerstown, and Janet Rollins and husband, Keith, of Winterville, N.C.; two brothers, Thomas W. Anthony Jr. and wife, Yvonne, and Richard Lee Anthony and wife, Louise, all of Hagerstown; and two granddaughters, Laura Gahan and Heather Gahan.


He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Earl Anthony and John Howard Anthony.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Pastor Ronald Key will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
