Living Well workshops get under way July 26

The Washington County Living Well Coalition will hold the first of a series of Living Well workshops Friday, July 26, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the senior center at Western Maryland Hospital Center, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. in Hagerstown.

The workshops help those with chronic diseases learn skills to manage their symptoms and get the most out of life.

The workshops are designed for those who have a chronic disease such as diabetes, arthritis, depression, chronic lung disease or heart disease.

The workshops will be held for six consecutive weeks.

Praise Thursdays

Emmanuel Methodist Church will host a team praise every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the church basement.

The public is invited. Casual attire is encouraged.

Peaceable Paws offers summer classes


Peaceable Paws dog- training facility in Fairplay will hold summer classes, starting Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

There will be a free two-hour seminar open to anyone interested in learning about canine behavior.
