Morris Frock Post 42 Legion Auxiliary awards scholarships to 11 county students

Morris Frock Unit 42 American Legion Auxiliary recently awarded 11 scholarships to local students at a dinner in their honor. The recipients, the schools they are attending and their majors are as follows:

• Victoria Albert, $300, attending Bloomsburg University, nursing
• Annette Hull, $500, attending University of Richmond, education
• Jena Smith, $500, attending Frostburg State University, education
• Timothy Barr, $300, attending Shepherd University, secondary education
• Brent Goebel, $300, attending University of Maryland, Baltimore County, engineering
• Andrew Monninger, $300, attending Shippensburg University, history
• Taylor Spickler, $300, attending Frostburg State University, elementary education
• Sarah Stayer, $300, attending St. Mary’s College of Maryland, health field
• Landon Grove, $300, attending Salisbury University, education
• Darla Mullinix, $300, attending Frederick Community College, health field
• Bethany Magner, $300, attending Saint Francis University, health field

All of the students have exhibited a high level of academic performance and participation in community activities.  Unit 42 has held several fundraisers throughout the year in order to be able to present the scholarships to these students.
