July 12, 2013

FREDERICK, Md. — A Williamsport woman has been charged with forging a prescription in Frederick, Md., the Frederick Police Department said.

Vanessa Hafer, 39, of the 1000 block of Greenwich Drive was charged with one count of obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, according to a police department news release.

Frederick police said they received a complaint on June 4 about a forged prescription.

An investigation determined that Hafer allegedly contacted a pharmacy and forged a prescription that was not issued by a physician, the release said.

Police said a criminal summons was issued, and the charging document was served on Wednesday.
