1. Romance writers

Featured authors Nora Roberts, Mary Blayney, Kristan Higgins and others will meet the public and sign books purchased at Turn the Page. Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Turn the Page Bookstore, 18 N. Main St., Boonsboro. Free tickets available beginning at 10 a.m. Call 301-432-4588.

2. Car show

Classic Car Group presents “Christmas in July” car show to benefit The Shriners, food banks and Toys for Tots. Music by Chubby. Saturday, July 13, behind J.C. Penney’s at Valley Mall, 17301 Valley Mall Road, Halfway. Entry fee for cars is $5, a new unwrapped toy worth at least $5 or a nonperishable food item. 

3. Pen Mar dancing

Arrow Trio will provide music for ballroom dancing from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Pen Mar Park, off Pen Mar High Rock Road, near Cascade. Free; donations requested. Call 240-313-2700.

4. Jazz & Poetry

5. Brass band
