A memorial service was conducted for the 32 deceased class members. The names were read by Peggy Beeler, and prayer was given by the Rev. Ralph Jamison, a class member.

Gerald Holmes gave an update on the Boonsboro High School Class of 1948 Memorial Award. The award was established in 1990 in memory of the deceased class members.

The award is presented annually to an outstanding senior at Boonsboro High School. This year, the award was presented to Keianna Stern.

The reunion meeting concluded with the awarding of the door prizes. Maxine Palmer, a class member, donated the door prizes to all members. Geraldine Crilly was recognized for making the favors for each place setting.

Holmes thanked the reunion planning committee and gave a special thanks to Murray, Palmer and Crilly for their contributions to the reunion.
