Waynesboro hosts art event

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- — The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro has organized a constellation of pop-up galleries and concert venues in downtown Waynesboro to create Destination ARTS!

Andrew Sussman, co-president of the AAGW, said the effort an initiative to transform Main Street into a work of art beginning Friday, July 19. 

Clustered around Waynesboro’s Center Square and the first block of West Main Street, art will be diverse and high-quality, featuring established artists from around the country and the exceptional talent found right in Waynesboro. 

Paintings, sculpture, drawings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and other decorative arts will be on display. Exhibits are expected to change every 30 to 45 days.

There will be music, theater, street performers, educational programs, art demonstrations, children’s programs and a variety of foods.
