Gerrardstown, W.Va., man charged with stabbing girlfriend

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Gerrardstown, W.Va., man accused of stabbing his girlfriend in the neck Monday was charged with one count of malicious wounding, according to court and jail records.

Eric Lee Shreve, 41, of 7656 Apple Harvest Drive was arraigned Monday by Berkeley County Magistrate Robert L. Lowe II, who set a $250,000 cash-only bond, according to court documents.

The victim told police that her boyfriend had been drinking all night and that he jabbed her in the neck under her jaw line with the knife after they got into an argument, according to court documents.

The woman said her boyfriend also bit her in the head during a struggle to get the knife away from him, according to court documents.
