Workshop to be held on drip irrigation for gardens

July 03, 2013

Washington County Master Gardener Will Godwin will hold a free workshop on drip irrigation on Saturday, July 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Western Maryland Hospital Center, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. in Hagerstown.

Participants will learn how to install drip irrigation to water plant beds and containers.

The system attaches to a garden hose bib without any additional plumbing or electric connection. Tools and practice parts will be provided.

The class will be held rain or shine.

Participants can park in the north lot of the hospital and meet in the front lobby.

For more information, call Godwin, chairman of the therapeutic gardening committee at the hospital center, at 301-331-3514.
