Callas Contractors Inc.

Callas Contractors Inc. of Hagerstown recently received the 2013 Hagerstown Historic Preservation Award from the City of Hagerstown and Hagerstown Historic District Commission for the First Hagerstown Hose Co. rehabilitation project. 

The commission recognized Callas for the rehabilitation work on the front façade of fire company’s engine house at 31-33 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, including effective use of the city’s revised standards for the use of quality replacement windows. The project was completed under the direction of project Superintendent Robert Oliver; project Manager Don Grabill; and project Manager Assistant Connie Vance.



Brook Lane

Brook Lane recently earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with the commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in behavioral health care.

The accreditation award recognizes the Hagerstown facility’s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards.

Brook Lane underwent a rigorous on-site survey earlier this year. A team of Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the facility for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of individuals served and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
