17-year-old transported to Meritus after rollover accident

A 17-year-old male was transported to Meritus Medical Center following the single-vehicle crash, according to Maryland State Police.

A Honda automobile rolled several times down an embankment and  came to rest in a cornfield along Grove Road and Ringgold Pike.

The accident, which was reported at 11:48 a.m., blocked Ringgold Pike for a short period of time. A state police helicopter was called but canceled before it arrived on the scene, police said. Further details of the crash were unavailable Wednesday.
