The Baby Ruth’s relay team participated in the annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event June 14 at Fairgrounds Park in Hagerstown.

The team is named in memory of Ruth I. Rickett.

The team has held fundraisers to raise money for Relay for Life, including a Bowl for a Life at Turner’s Dual Lanes and a Skate for Life at Starland Roller Rink.

The businesses helped by letting the group host the fundraisers at their facilities and donated a percentage of the fees charged to the team to the American Cancer Society.

The team is comprised of Michele Gladhill (team captain), Betty Shrader, Debra Rogers, Merle Vaughn, Melissha Vaughn, Christopher Reese, Toni Shoop, Ryan Russ, Ronald Russ, Dawn Miller, Teresa Wilson, Mary Sims, William Sims and Bryce Corbett. The team helpers are Christie Pleasant, Sierra Vaughn, Satrina Lewis, Betty Horner, Aaliyah Russ and Alexcia Russ.
