James G. Ferguson Sr., 56, of North Conococheague Street, Williamsport, Md., passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home.

Born Jan. 30, 1957, in Seattle, Wash., he was the son of Martha (Wolfe) Ferguson of Hagerstown and the late Derald Ferguson.

He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School’s Class of 1975 and attended architectural school in Baltimore.

He was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Association of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and The Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84 of Williamsport.

He was employed by the Williamsport Tannery for 27 years and Tractor Supply Co. for six years.

He is survived by his wife of three years, Christina A. (Gardenhour) Ferguson, whom he married July 2, 2009; daughters, Jamie Stine and husband, William, of Williamsport and Janessa Oyler of Hagerstown; son, James G. Ferguson Jr. of Hagerstown; brothers, John Ferguson and Jeff Seibold, both of Hagerstown; sister, Janelle Stotler of Clear Spring; grandchildren, Cierra Ferguson, Austin Stine, Annalyse Stine, Damien Oyler, Jarrett Ferguson, Kaylee Oyler and Jace Ferguson; canine companion, Boomer; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 1 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Smithsburg, with a gathering at Third Base Tavern Inc. of Williamsport, following the interment.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
