2013 Miss Maryland and Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant prelims begin

The 2013 Miss Maryland and Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Scholarship Pageant preliminaries began Wednesday night at The Maryland Theatre.

The Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Preliminary Talent award went to both Miss Washington County Outstanding Teen Taylor Ammons and Miss Annapolis Outstanding Teen Taylor Diggs.

The Miss Maryland Preliminary Talent Award went to Miss Allegany County Sara Zeng, who received a $150 scholarship.

The Miss Maryland Preliminary Physical Fitness and Swimsuit Award  went to both Washington County's Miss Western Maryland Christina Denny and Miss Potomac Ebony Sherrill, who received $100 scholarships.

The preliminaries continue at the theater Thursday and Friday nights staring at 7:30 p.m. Crowning night begins Saturday at 7 p.m. at the theater.
