Knoxville man dies in single-vehicle crash

KNOXVILLE, Md. — A Knoxville man was killed Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash on Md. 67, Maryland State Police said in a news release.

Roger D. Latham Jr., 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the release.

The accident was reported to the Washington County 911 Center at 11:12 p.m., police said.

Latham was driving south on Md. 67, also known as Rohrersville Road, north of the intersection with U.S. 340 when his vehicle missed a curve, went off the roadway and struck a culvert, according to the release.

Troopers from the Hagerstown and Frederick barracks, along with local fire and EMS companies, responded to the accident.

The northbound lane of Md. 67 was closed for about three hours following the crash, police said.

The accident remained under investigation, according to the release.
