Child struck by vehicle in Hagerstown

A child was flown by helicopter Saturday night to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Hagerstown, a Washington County emergency services dispatcher said.

Emergency crews responded to the first block of West Side Avenue in Hagerstown, where the child was struck at 7:56 p.m., the dispatcher said.

Two People taken to Meritus after two-vehicle accident

Two people were taken to Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown on Saturday night after a two-vehicle accident in Hagerstown.

Emergency crews responded to the scene of the accident on Greencastle Pike at the intersection of National Pike at 8:36 p.m., the dispatcher said.
