ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Mary McGinley of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Muhlenberg College.

McGinley, a member of the class of 2014, is an English major and a religion studies minor.

McGinley is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McGinley of Hagerstown.

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Catherine Magdaline Wolf of Hagerstown graduated May 11 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Lynn University.

While at the university, Wolf was accepted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, and Order of Omega, the Greek honor society. She also was a member of Best Buddies International and Tri Sigma Sorority.

Wolf is the daughter of Bruce and Kristin Wolf of Hagerstown.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Gabriel Philip of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at High Point University.

MOREHEAD, Ky. — Demi Nicole Jacques of Smithsburg was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Morehead State University. 

ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. — The following area students were awarded a Master of Arts degree in teaching June 1 from St. Mary’s College of Maryland:

 Hannah Boward of Hagerstown, who also was the recipient of the Justin Bates Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

 Jonathan Wagner of Mount Airy, Md.

CLEMSON, S.C. — The following area students graduated May 10 from Clemson University:

 Autumn Taylor Breeden of Hagerstown, cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology

 James Graham Murphy of Middletown, Md., Master’s Degree in agricultural education

 Chelsey Painter Kistler of Waynesboro, Pa., Bachelor of Arts in psychology

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list at DeSales University:

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Keijerian Graham, a senior at Randolph-Macon Academy, recently was named to the first team of the Delaney Athletic Conference for his performance on the varsity baseball team.

Graham is the son of Malkiyah S. Goldberg of Waynesboro, Pa., and Edward Graham of Columbia, Md.

CHESTER, Pa. — Kelsey Lake of Ijamsville, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Widener University.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Rachel Turner of Ijamsville, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Youngstown State University.

Turner is majoring in computer science.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Angela Fitzwater graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 grade-point average from the West Virginia University School of Nursing.

Fitzwater made the president’s list all four years.

Fitzwater plans to work at a hospital in Michigan.

Fitzwater is the daughter of Alex and Veronica Cole Fitzwater of Martinsburg, W.Va., and the granddaughter of Gloria Cole of Williamsport and Ann Price Ruble of West Virginia.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jeremy Willman has enrolled for the fall semester at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Willman is in the mechanical engineering/bachelor of science program in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering. He was awarded an RIT Trustee Scholarship and Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

Willman is a 2012 graduate of a home-school program, and is a transfer student from Frederick (Md.) Community College.

Willman is the son of Robb Willman and Natalie Willman of Middletown, Md.

NEW YORK — Christine Stearn received a Master’s Degree in sustainability and sustainability management from Columbia University.

Stearn received a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in 1999, and an Executive MBA from Columbia University in 2011.

Stearn works as a senior security auditor for Columbia University. She is a board member of, a nonprofit that helps donors easily set up, fund and award scholarships.

Stearn is a 1995 graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa.

Stearn and her husband, Joshua Ingber, live in Astoria, Queens, N.Y.
