Junior Ranger Program offered

June 12, 2013

Greenbrier State Park welcomes families to join its summer Junior Ranger Program. Those ages 5 to 12 will explore the park, discover nature and learn about the great outdoors with the guidance of rangers.

Participants are grouped by age: Park Pals (5 to 8) and Junior Rangers (9 to 12).

The program will be held each Thursday from July 11 to Aug. 15, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The program costs $25 per child and $10 for each additional child from the same family.
Greenbrier State Park is at 21843 National Pike.

Children will participate in interactive, nature-themed activities, including crafts, games, hikes and discussions designed to cultivate outdoor awareness and encourage early childhood development. Each series includes one session per week for six weeks. Space is limited.
