Betty Jane Teach, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport.

Born Sept. 19, 1928, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William Allison and Suella Decker Speaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Francis Teach, in 1999.

She was a 1946 graduate of Williamsport High School, Williamsport.

She was employed by A&P grocery for 20 years until retiring in 1983.

She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church, Williamsport.

She was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Williamsport.

Survivors include, daughter, Debra J. Moyseenko and her husband, Alex, of Hagerstown; son, William “Bucky” Teach, and his wife, Shari, of Big Pool, Md.; granddaughter, Jennifer White of Hagerstown; granddaughter, Jamie Frye of Big Pool; granddaughter, Katie Moyseenko of Hagerstown; grandson, Michael Moyseenko of Baltimore, Md.; grandson, Kyle Morgan of Mount Airy, Md.; great-granddaughters, Olivia Frye and Camryn Fyre; great-grandson, John Michael Frye; brother, Harry Speaker of Hagerstown; and sister, Daisy Krumpe of Yuba City, Calif.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Homer Speaker and C. Donald Speaker.

The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Susan Boehl officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
