Garden club to meet

Will Goodwin will offer a talk and tour of “The Healing Gardens.”
The meeting is open to the public. Members will be provided a picnic dinner and are asked to RSVP by Tuesday.

Potpie luncheon

Parkhead United Methodist Church will hold its monthly Senior Saints chicken potpie luncheon Tuesday, June 18, at noon in the fellowship hall behind the church.

The menu includes potpie, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and drink.

A donation will be collected for the meal.

Singing group marks anniversary

The Morning Star Singers will hold an anniversary sing Saturday, July 13, from 1 to 9 p.m. at Falcon Park (formerly the Elks picnic area).

Other groups include Driven Quartet, New Crossroads Quartet, Heavener’s, By Faith, The Pittman’s, Jessica Snyder and Nancy Wiles, Pastor Butch Neal, Snare Family, Jim Mayhue and Betty Callihan.  

There will be chicken barbecue and other food available. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. 

The event will be held rain or shine.

There are no tickets, but there is a $6 suggested donation to help cover expenses.
