The Ashley Throckmorton Foundation will hold the second annual “Rock the Throck” soccer tournament Saturday, June 22, starting at 9 a.m. at the Hagerstown Soccer Club on Cearfoss Pike.

The event will include music, 50/50, raffles, face painting, inflatable bounce and vendors, including Thirty-One and Origami Owl.

Ashley Throckmorton died at age 25 on July 30, 2011, from an undiagnosed heart condition. The foundation is committed to spreading heart awareness and to supporting a local family whose lives have been greatly altered because of their child’s disease.

This year’s beneficiary is Yasmine, age 4, who suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome, an underdeveloped left lung, a condition called Omphalocele, and many other health issues.

She has undergone two open-heart surgeries and will need to endure many more.

All proceeds from the event will go toward assisting Yasmine and her family.
