Lions clubs to provide food for yard sale

The Longmeadow Lions Club and the Chewsville Lions Club will again be providing the food concessions for the Washington County Hospital Perinatal Bereavement Program Kids’ Stuff Yard Sale on Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon.

A variety of items such as sausage and egg muffins, country ham sandwiches, hot dogs, steamers, pulled pork sandwiches and other snacks and drinks will be offered. Have breakfast and/or lunch at the sale and support many community projects.

The yard sale will be held on the west parking lot of the Volvo Group property off Maugans Avenue.

Diabetes support group program scheduled

The Diabetes Support Group at Potomac Towers will meet Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the first-floor conference room.

The program will be “America’s Epidemic: What’s In Your Future?” presented by Lisa Moran from Priority Partners.

The program is open to the public.

The Diabetes Support Group is sponsored by the Washington County Health Department, the Hagerstown Housing Authority and the Washington County Commission on Aging.

Business women to hold picnic at Ruritan park

The Hagerstown Business and Professional Women summer picnic will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at the Maugansville Ruritan Park Pavilion.

Hot dogs and steamers will be provided, but members are asked to bring a covered dish to share and their own beverage. In case of rain, the picnic will be held in the blue Ruritan building behind the pavilion.

Line dance scheduled for Saturday night

The Hagerstown Country Western Dance Association will hold a line dance Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Maugansville Ruritan Building, 18007 Maugans Ave.

The dance is for both couples and singles. Cost is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.
