County citizens group to host monthly meeting

Citizens for the Protection of Washington County will hold its monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Halfway Fire Co., Lexington Avenue. The agenda will include approval of proposed changes in bylaws, recycling and landfill fees, petition signatures, airport, Boonsboro Greenfest and results of petition drive.

The meeting is open to the public.

Mall show features motorized products

The Valley Mall will be showcasing all things motorized at the Get Your Motor Runnin’ mallwide show on Thursday, June 13.

Businesses that feature cars, trucks, campers, motorcycles, scooters, all-terrain vehicles, lawn mowers, boats, tractors, hauling trailers and other products are invited to display their wares from June 13 to 24. For information and/or to register for the event, call 301-582-0701 or email or

Neighborhood Watch to host meeting

Halfway Area Neighborhood Watch will be hosting its monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 19, at the Halfway Fire Co. meeting room. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. If available, Sgt. Daniel Henley of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office traffic unit will be there to address concerns. All residents and neighbors of the Halfway Area are invited to attend.


SHHS Class of ‘61 to host reunion dinner

The South Hagerstown High School Class of 1961 will be hosting a reunion dinner on Saturday, July 20, at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, 17800 Underpass Way, Hagerstown. Dinner will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
