SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. — Beth Thomas of Sharpsburg has been named coordinator of the Regents Bachelor of Arts program at Shepherd University’s Martinsburg Center.

In her role as coordinator, Thomas will work with Martinsburg Center students completing their bachelor’s degree through the RBA program.

The credit-for-work-experience program assesses credit for experience through a portfolio review process and assists adult learners in selecting a program of study tailored to their career goals.

“Beth Thomas brings a wealth of experience to this new position,” Jim Klein, director of the Martinsburg Center, said in a news release.

“Her extensive work background will allow her to assist adult students transitioning back to the classroom” when the center’s doors are scheduled to open on June 17, he said.

Thomas served as coordinator of the Board of Governors and Applied Technology Degrees at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg for five years.
