  • C&O Canal National Historical Park announces it has restarted its interpretive C&O Canal launch boat programs Saturdays and Sundays on the canal in Williamsport.

1. Launch boat relaunched
Interpretive C&O Canal launch boat programs will be offered throughout the summer. 10 a.m., 12:15, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Saturday, Aug. 17, at C&O Canal National Historical Park, 205 W. Potomac St., Williamsport. Stop by the visitor center to sign up. Call 301-582-0813.

2. Painters dozen
Artists in the Woods” is a show of recent work by a group of 12 regional artists. They will also demonstrate their painting styles and sell prints, photos, note cards and handmade pottery.
