Losses for the week were 33 1/2 pounds. Kathy Freeze and Charlie House were the best TOPS losers. The best KOPS losers were Delores Hays, Rose Shockey and Jean Betker. 

Betty Rice was the winner of the Ha! Ha! prize. 

The no-no snack for the week is chips.

Darla Hartley won the May get-r-done award for KOPS; Joan Jones won for TOPS. Charlie won the monthly raffle.

Patsy Price presented the program, “Weight Loss: Getting Ready and Staying on Track.” She said anyone who ever achieved anything had to start at the beginning.  Losing is mind over platter. 

Awards will be given at Fall Rally for weight loss in June, July and August. Names were drawn for a weight-loss challenge.

Next week will be the last Secret Pal exchange until September.

Vacation Bible school at Christ’s Reformed Church

Christ’s Reformed Church will host Kingdom Rock from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 17, to Friday, June 21, at the church, at 130 W. Franklin St., downtown Hagerstown. Christ’s Reformed is joining with Zion Reformed and Holy Trinity to provide an adventure that rocks for kids age 3 to those who just finished fifth grade.

The first night will begin with a picnic at 5:30 p.m. Each night there will be crafts, music, games, snacks, a short video and a Bible lesson.

Yard sale at senior apartment complex

Francis Murphy Senior Apartments’ annual yard sale is on Saturday morning. If it is raining, the yard sale will be indoors.
A great mixture of kinds of items will be for sale, including the ordinary, the unique, the old and the new, collectibles and antiques. Tables will be loaded with surprises. Some small furniture will be sold, as well.

North High Class of 1978 reunion set for Aug. 10

The North Hagerstown High School Class of 1978 is planning its 35th reunion for Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5:30 to 11 p.m. at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown.

Tickets cost $35 per person, which includes a dinner buffet, cash bar and music. Guests are invited.
