WILLIAMSPORT — The International Order of the Golden Rule, or OGR, presented the Gold Exemplary Service Award to Osborne Funeral Home PA of Williamsport during a recent awards luncheon during the OGR’s annual conference and supplier showcase in Memphis, Tenn., at the Peabody Hotel.

OGR is the world’s leading professional association dedicated to making independent funeral homes exceptional.

Exemplary service awards recognize professional excellence achieved by a funeral home as demonstrated through comments from client families responding to family contact program surveys.

One family who used Osborne Funeral Home shared, “Our high school daughter was tragically killed in a car accident as she was coming home from prom. The entire community suffered from the tragedy and the Osbornes were a pillar upon which others relied, especially us.

“From first contact with Craig to my last visit with Brandy, all the services that the Osbornes provided were professional, sympathetic, well-coordinated and quite simply excellent. Our daughter’s funeral services were exactly what we wanted for her. We are very grateful for everything that (the) Osbornes did and cannot thank them enough.”

Founded in 1928, OGR is affiliated with more than 700 independent funeral homes that share common goals of exemplary service, uncompromising care and compassion to families in their time of need.
