PREP BASEBALL

CLEAR SPRING — Storms put a damper on Clear Spring’s hot start, as Wednesday’s MVAL Antietam baseball game was suspended with the Blazers leading 4-1 in the bottom of the third inning.

Williamsport drew first blood in the first, as Brandon Toloso singled and scored on a wild pitch.

Clear Spring responded with four runs in the second. Jared Brant doubled and scored on another double by Dylan Appel, who scored on a wild pitch. Hunter Fiddler singled and scored on Ryan Aaron’s double. Aaron came around on C.J. Elwood’s double.

Then the storm joined the party.

Relief pitcher Wyatt Scriever got the Wildcats out of the second inning after a rain delay, but the rain came back after Williamsport went down in order in the third.

The game is tentatively scheduled to be finished on May 7.
