Paul Ray Cartee, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown.

Born Jan. 24, 1923, in Smithsburg, Md., to the late Ray Clyde and Icie Rose Blickenstaff Cartee.

He was employed by Fairchild Aircraft, Hagerstown for 30 years until retiring in 1986.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

He was a member of Church of the Brethren, Wolfsville, Md.

He was a member of AMVETS Post No. 10, Hagerstown; VFW No. 1936, Hagerstown; and Goodwill Athletic Club, Hagerstown.

Survivors include: wife, Barbara Lou Herrington Cartee, married 27 years, of Hagerstown; daughter, Vickie Anderson of Falling Waters, W.Va.; daughter, Debbie Myers of Williamsport, Md.; son, Larry Cartee of Seaville, N.J.; sister, Ellen Bowman of Smithsburg, Md.; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by one sister, Virginia Baer and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Friday, April 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Friday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Dean Pryor officiating at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. Military graveside services will be provided by AMVETS Post No. 10, Hagerstown.
