Shredding event set for May 18

April 23, 2013

A Better Shredder will host a free shredding event for the public Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Pen-Mar Regional Association of Realtors at 300 Cameo Drive, off Eastern Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A donation for the shredding will be requested and all proceeds will benefit Safe Place, Washington County Child Advocacy Center. Their mission is to provide all reported victims of child sexual abuse in Washington County and their non-offending caretakers with comprehensive forensic interviews, medical treatment and mental health treatment with a goal of preventing future abuse.

A Better Shredder requests four boxes or bags per person, and all forms of paper can be shredded.

“There is no need to worry about removing paper clips, staples or rubber bands because we can shred straight through them,” said Clint Rawlings of A Better Shredder. “We can even shred credit cards, CDs and floppies.”
