Waynesboro Police waiting on autopsy results in man's death

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Borough police continue to await an autopsy report for a 28-year-old man who died a day after being found in the McDonald’s parking lot.

Robert Branson, of 247 Tract Road in Fairfield, Pa., died April 13 at Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, according to a previous news release from the Waynesboro Police Department.

Police said they responded at about 7 p.m. on April 9 to a report of an unresponsive individual lying adjacent to the parking lot at the McDonald’s restaurant at 302 E. Main St.

On Monday, Waynesboro Police Chief James Sourbier said the department has not received the results of an autopsy.

“It’s being investigated,” he said of Branson’s death.
