Mr. Wallace V. Bricker, 93, of Mercersburg, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 5:30 a.m. at the Long Term Care Unit of Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born Nov. 26, 1919, in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Ida Yost Bricker.

Wallace worked for 20 years at Fairchild Industries and for 23 years at Mack Trucks, both in Hagerstown. He retired from Mack in 1983.

He was a member of First Church of God of Mercersburg, where he was an elder for a number of years and also a former trustee and a former member of the Men's Bible Class.

His wife of 72 years, H. Louise Auman Bricker, passed away June 19, 2011.

Mr. and Mrs. Bricker farmed on a small scale all of their lives.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Loretta J. (Mrs. Wayne) Robinson of Mercersburg; two sons, Richard W. (husband of Carolyn) Bricker of Wellsville, Pa., and David L. Bricker of Mercersburg; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, L. Grace Zimmerman of Chambersburg, Pa.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Grover, Chester and Forrest Bricker, and Violet Dorty.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First Church of God, with the Revs. Rick Egolf and Ken Cornelius officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.

The viewing will be Wednesday one hour before the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Church of God, 107 S. Park Ave., Mercersburg, PA 17236.
