Sandra F. Jamison, 70

Sandra Faye "Sandy" Jamison, 70, of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away peacefully Monday, April 15, 2013, at home with her family by her side.

Born Nov. 4, 1942, in Antietam, Md., she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Ray Crampton Sr. and Hattie Anna Elizabeth Gray Crampton.

She was a 1960 graduate of Boonsboro High School in Boonsboro, Md., and attended nursing school in Baltimore.

She was a cook at Sharpsburg Elementary School.

In her early years, she belonged to Antietam Church of God and also had previously belonged to Burnside First Church of God. She most recently attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg.

She was a life member of the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Co. and served as the treasurer for many years and was very active with the organization. She was also a member of Sharpsburg Area Emergency Medical Services.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn Everard Jamison of Sharpsburg, whom she married March 19, 1988; son, Troy D. Rupp of Sharpsburg; sister, Viola L. Marshall of Sharpsburg; sister, Barbara E. Sword of Maugansville, Md.; brother, Jerry L. Crampton of Antietam; mother-in-law, Anna Louise Jamison of Sharpsburg; sister-in-law, Debra Louise Jamison of Sharpsburg; and granddaughter, Alison A.E. Rupp of Sharpsburg.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty L. Benner; and two brothers, Gilbert R. Crampton Jr. and Lonnie L. Crampton.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Burnside First Church of God, with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer, the Rev. Karen Erskine-Valentine and the Rev. Richard G. Hembrock officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md. The funeral home will be open Thursday after 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
