WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Police respond to report of paint balls striking house

Waynesboro police said they were dispatched to the 200 block of Hawbaker Avenue at 12:44 p.m. April 8 for reports of multiple housing units being struck with paint balls.

There did not appear to be any permanent damage, police said in a news release.

Police investigating report of someone illegally using Social Security number

A resident of Clayton Avenue reported to Waynesboro police that someone in Florida used his or her Social Security number.

Police said they learned of the issue April 8, and are investigating it as fraud.

The Social Security number was used to file taxes, police said in a news release.
