Arthur Thomas Litton, 81, of Clear Spring, Md., passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born Feb. 4, 1932, in Boonsboro, Md., he was the son of the late David Wilson Litton Sr. and Mildred Ruth Rowe Litton.

He graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1950.

He was a member of Macedonia United Brethren Church.

He was also a member of the Farm Bureau Association and the Brown Swiss Association.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Litton; three daughters, Sarah Shade and husband, David, Melba Mowen and husband, Robert (Bob), and Carol Britt and husband, John; a son, Charles Litton and wife, Donna; 22 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a sister, Miriam (Irene) Litton; and two brothers, David Wilson Litton Jr. and Walter Rowe Litton Sr.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Elliott.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Gayle Ruble will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
