CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A 12-year-old girl missing from her Orrstown, Pa., residence was found in Buffalo, N.Y., according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State police spokesman Robert T. Hicks said in an email that Dakota Moon Turner was picked up and brought to Buffalo by a 21-year-old male “that she met gaming online.”

The state police barrack in Chambersburg received notification from the Buffalo Police Department early Sunday that Turner had been found, Hicks said.

“They had been communicating via social media for the past few months,” he said. “Further details of the encounter are still being investigated by Buffalo police and PSP,” Hicks said.
