12-year-old girl missing from Franklin County home has been found

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A 12-year-old girl reported missing from her Franklin County home has been found, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release Sunday morning.

Dakota Moon Turner, 12, of Orrstown, Pa., was found by the Buffalo Police Department, police said.

She had been missing since Friday at 4:53 p.m., troopers said.

Dakota’s mother left the house to pick up her children at a day-care facility on Friday at 4:53 p.m. When her mother returned home about 20 minutes later, Dakota was not there, troopers said.

Dakota’s mother called Pennsylvania State Police about two hours later to report that Dakota was missing, troopers said.
