'Still Surfin' concert to raise money for local charities

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The sounds of the Beach Boys will be featured in a “Still Surfin’” concert on April 20 at 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Rouzerville Lions Club and Rouzerville Business Association, the event will serve as a fundraiser for local charities, which includes Red Run Park and the Sept. 11 memorial.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at either The Record Herald or Ronnie Martin Realty offices.

Wynesboro Area Senior High graduation set for June 5

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro Area Senior High School graduation date has been changed because of snow make-up days.

Graduation now will be Wednesday, June 5.

The Waynesboro Area School Board unanimously approved the date change this week.

Greene Township Supervisor appointed to state panel

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Greene Township (Pa.) Supervisor C. David Jamison has been appointed to a vacancy on the Legislative Committee of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.

The mission of the Legislation Committee is to assist the association on legislative issues and to function as a grass-roots regional communications network, according to a news release.

The Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors represents the state’s 1,455 second-class townships and is committed to preserving and strengthening township government and securing greater visibility and involvement for townships in the state and federal political arenas, according to the release.
