April 09, 2013

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro Area Senior High School will be undergoing a significant change in leadership at the start of the 2013-14 academic year.

On Tuesday, the Waynesboro Area School Board transferred Principal Chris Dennis to a middle school math teaching position. No reason for the transfer was given.

Board President Chris Lind said the district will be advertising for candidates for the principal position.

The board also transferred Assistant Principal Brian Richter into a newly created role as director of safety and alternative programs. Officials said he will coordinate safety issues, the return of students from outside placements and the district’s new cyber school program.
