Fahrney-Keedy to hold open house

April 06, 2013

BOONSBORO, Md. — Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village will host its fourth annual spring open house Saturday, May 11, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Guests can take tours of the village and available residences, talk with staff members and residents and ride a horse-drawn wagon through the community. Refreshments will be provided.

Visitors will be able to see the renovated skilled nursing dayrooms, and can tour the newly expanded physical therapy gym. Guided tours and self-guided tours along the walking trail are available. Also, departments will have informational displays.

“We want everyone to get to know Fahrney-Keedy’s lifestyle,” said Deborah Haviland, director of marketing. “Very likely there will be people who visit us that day who will come away motivated to move here.”

Two miles from downtown Boonsboro on Md. 66, Fahrney-Keedy has nearly 160 full- and part-time employees. It serves a resident population of more than 200 women and men in independent living, assisted living and long- and short-term nursing care on a 90-acre campus.

To RSVP, call 301-671-5016 or 301-671-5038 , or go to www.fkhv.org.
