William Edgar "Stoney" Jamison Jr., 82, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and formerly of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla.

Born Nov. 10, 1930, in Antietam Furnace, Md., he was the son of the late William Edgar Jamison Sr. and Mary Amelia Ely Jamison.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda J. Fraley Jamison, in 1999, to whom he was married for 48 years.

He was employed by Mack Trucks in Hagerstown, Md., until retiring in 1987. He also worked at Friendship Airport in Baltimore, Md., and Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown.

He was a member of UAW Local 171.

He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church in St. Petersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Mort Jamison, married for 10 years; daughter, Sue Jeter of Hagerstown; daughter, Dinah Stevens and her husband, Donald, of Sharpsburg, Md.; son, Jeffrey Jamison and his wife, Kim, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; daughter-in-law, Clara Jamison of Hagerstown; brother, Dallas Jamison and his wife, Vonda, of Sharpsburg; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, William R. Jamison; and two sisters, Doris Gay and Pauline Marshall.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md. The funeral home will be open Sunday after 1 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg, with the Rev. Gene Renner officiating.
