Man airlifted to hospital with major injuries after Franklin County crash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A man was flown to York (Pa.) Medical Center to be treated for major injuries he suffered in a traffic accident Tuesday night in the 2200 block of Path Valley Road in Franklin County, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The 43-year-old man, whose name was not released, had major injuries to his head, neck and arms, and possibly suffered internal injuries, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said the man lost control of his vehicle at about 8:20 p.m. while he was negotiating a right curve and the vehicle spun out of control and struck a tree.

Police said the man was thrown from the vehicle.
