Veiled Lady Collectibles to hold grand opening

Veiled Lady Collectibles is now open at 41 N. Conococheague St. (across the street from Williamsport Pharmacy).

Heather Bordenski and Zachary Britner are co-owners.

Bordenski said she thinks their store of antiques and collectibles has something affordable for everyone.

The grand opening will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Regular hours of operation are Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Season’s first classic car cruise-in set for Friday

The first classic car cruise-in of the season is set for Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. on Conococheague Street.

The event features DJ music and a 50/50 drawing.

A donation of $3 is requested. The rain date is April 12.

Hitching Post RoundUp is Saturday

The Hitching Post RoundUp Sale is Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Springfield Barn.

Recently married couples will sell their extra wedding decorations.

Soon-to-be married couples can meet wedding service providers.

At 1 p.m., the Rev. Anne Weatherholt of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will officiate the Marriage Re-Commitment Service.

No advance registration is necessary.

Spaghetti fundraiser set at Calvary Temple

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held at Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St., Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $6.50, which includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, salad, dessert and drink.

The dinner benefits the church’s Royal Rangers and Missionettes children’s program.

Quarter auction to be held Saturday

Kinder Haven Child Care will hold its annual quarter auction Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of Zion Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St. in Williamsport.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and the auction begins at 5.

Tickets cost $4 in advance or $5 at the door.

A ticket includes two bidding paddles.

Additional paddles will be available at the door.

More than 80 new items will be auctioned, including Longaberger, Thirty-One, Scentsy, Origami Owl Jewelry and other products.

WHS Choral Department to present ‘Cats’ on stage

Williamsport High School will present Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical “Cats” Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 13, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, April 14, at 2 p.m.; Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, April 20, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.

All performances are in the high school auditorium. 

Concessions will be sold during intermission. Proceeds benefit the Williamsport High Choral Boosters.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting the box office at 301-766-8433.

Tickets can be paid for in advance by cash or check payable to Williamsport High School.
